What is a Notary Public?
A Notary Public is an official commissioned by the Secretary of State to serve as an impartial witness during the signing of important documents. My role is to verify the identity of each signer, ensure all parties are signing willingly, and help prevent fraud by applying my official seal.

What types of documents do you notarize?
I provide mobile notary services for a wide range of personal ,legal, and financial documents. Common documents include affidavits, power of attorney forms, property deeds, contracts, and consent forms.
As a certified Loan Signing Agent, I also handle real estate and mortgage-related closing documents such as loan packages, deeds of trust, refinancing documents, and closing documents.

What do I need at time of signing?
Please bring a valid government-issued photo ID, the document(s) you need notarized, and any witnesses required by your document. Documents must be unsigned but completely filled out.

What types of ID are accepted?
Acceptable forms of identification include a driver’s license, state-issued ID card, U.S. passport, military ID, or permanent resident card. All IDs must be current or issued within the last five years and must include a photo, physical description, signature and serial number. In some cases, two credible witnesses who personally know both the signer and the notary can verify identity.

What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, check, wire transfer, debit and credit card, and mobile payments options such as Apple Pay, Cash App, PayPal, Venmo and Zelle. Payment is due at time of service.

How do I schedule an appointment?
You can schedule an appointment by calling or texting (510) 414-4144, sending an email to notary@justiceselby.com, or using the contact form on the company website. I will be in contact within 24 hours to confirm your appointment. Same-day appointments may be available for an additional fee and are subject to scheduling availability.
